Multiples

Winter Garden, 50 x 94 cms

Typically, paintings show the subject from one viewpoint only. The idea of putting together various views of the subject is an attempt to overcome this limitation. How else could one do justice to the varied autumn colours of the Japanese maples at Westonbirt or the Winter Gardens at Anglesey Abbey? How else to illustrate the different views John Ruskin had from the turret he had built onto his bedroom overlooking Coniston Water.  All are oil on canvas. Measurements not including frames.
