Works in oil, acrylic and watercolour that capture the vitality of the natural world
Trees and Woods
Trees represent nature on a human scale. Painting them has led Alan to respect them. The open framework of a deciduous tree has strength and balance, and it responds to its location so that each tree is unique. Painting a tree is like painting a portrait.
They are all oil on canvas.
